Myrtle Beach is a Great Place to Live
No we didn’t make another List (that I’m aware of anyway), but we've made enough of them for those who have never visited Myrtle Beach to take notice. I can say, from visiting other towns in other States recently that they reminded me of what's so great about where I live. Nothing could be finer than to be in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in the morning, noon or night! The contrasts between those towns and Myrtle Beach is remarkable – Ours has a beach (Sorry that kind of wins me over every time), ours is vibrant, growing, changing, thriving, with contrasts between city, ocean and salt marsh waterways. They had none of those things in the places we visited. It’s interesting here, the changing population, new visitors, new businesses, the slow ( and I mean really SLOW in the Winter) periods and the incredible busy summer, the topography, the culture, the things to do …golf, beach, events, kids’ activities, restaurant choices, the ocean and so much more just cant be beat. For all of Myrtle Beach faults and shortcomings, we live in the best place in the world.. and I count myself as darn lucky to live here.
Most of you have probably been here or know some one who has, which means I may be preaching to the choir, but when you have lived here for as long as I have and have seen the growth and progress of this great community, you just cant help but want to tell the world what a wonderful place this is to raise a family, retire or even just have a vacation home! Spend a few minutes browsing the Myrtle beach photo stream on Google and tell me that Myrtle Beach wouldn't be an awesome place to live. Seriously!
