Brookgreen Gardens near Myrtle Beach

Brookgreen Gardens is one of the quietest and most serene places on the beach.  It is located within easy driving distance from Myrtle Beach, Murrells Inlet and Pawleys Island.  The walk around the grounds is absolutely beautiful with amazing plant life and an abundance of wildlife.  Live Oak Allee is such an impressive natural site with 300 year old Live Oak trees – it is absolutely fabulous.  On a bright sunny day, the boat tour of the rice plantation is so calming, and very informative too.  In the gardens, the sculptures and artwork are all strategically placed in the natural setting, enhancing each piece of art.  Brookgreen also hosts activities constantly.  There are flower shows, guest lecturers and evening concerts.
