April Events in Myrtle Beach
Spring has been in the air for a few weeks now, but its finally showing up on our calendars too! The month of April really kicks off the season here in Myrtle Beach, with so many events packed in, its hard to choose what to do! Myrtle Beach has everything from baseball games to the largest Ferris wheel of any kind east of the Mississippi River! Be sure to head over to the BB&T Coastal Field to see one of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans home games in April! But if baseballs not your thing, that’s ok! Here is a list of just some of the events happening in the Myrtle Beach area this month!
On Monday, April 9th, the 2012 AMP Series is coming to Barefoot Resort & Golf to celebrate the conclusion of golf’s first major event alongside the 2012 “Hootie & the Blowfish Monday After the Masters” event. Presented by GOLFWEEK and COBRA PUMA GOLF, the AMP Series event gives visitors an opportunity to test out the new COBRA AMP clubs and check out the best PUMA Golf gear! Enjoy free professional custom-fitting sessions, games, music, refreshments and giveaways
from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m at Barefoot Resort and Golf in North Myrtle Beach.
Starting around April 14th,2012 the Waccamaw Arts & Crafts Guild brings the Art in the Park shows, to Chapin Park giving artists an opportunity to display and sell their work. Chapin Park is right in the Heart of Myrtle Beach around 15th Avenue and Hwy 17 Business. Booths are open from 10am to p.m.
On Saturday, April 21st, La Belle Amie Vineyard hosts the Blues and Jazz festival. If you enjoy good food, music, and lots of fun than this is definitely the place for you! So bring a lawn chair or blanket, and be ready for an fantastic, fun filled afternoon of great music, food, wine. The vineyard is located in North Myrtle Beach, SC at the corner of Hwy 90 & St. Joseph Road (near the North Myrtle Beach Middle School).
On Saturday and Sunday, April 24-25, Brookgreen Gardens is hosting its Plantacular Sale when you will have the chance to purchase high quality plants grown in their greenhouses. Check out their website for a complete list of plants being sold!
Or if your looking to just sit back, relax and take in some music on a Sunday afternoon, head on over to The Boathouse on the Intracoastal Waterway for a Sunday Funday! They're bringing back the popular outdoor Summer concert series in Myrtle Beach with some of the hottest bands. All concerts are free.
