Although Shawn has an accounting degree, he found his true calling to be in the real estate field. For over a decade now he’s put his knowledge of the area to work helping countless clients, as well as their friends and family, making him a self-proclaimed Personal Real Estate Consultant For Life. Shawn does welcome new faces but he finds most of his business is from past clients and people they refer to him. By having the opportunity to work with returning clients, he’s able to establish a close working relationship and focus on each client’s request while catering to their specific needs.
Many clients comment on how Shawn takes time to discuss all the real estate options available, whether it’s with buyers or sellers, and providing that knowledge so they can make educated decisions. When it comes to investors, he knows the stronger property managers and better income producers so without research, he already has a head start over most agents. In addition, he uses a ‘head and heart approach’ to investment buying. While he knows it’s important for investors to care about the property they purchase, they also need hard data and financial facts. That’s why he uses an effective cash flow analysis program investors love, which can point out expense considerations so the client makes an informed purchasing decision.
This knowledge is acquired over time with experience and consistency in the workplace. Although he may never admit it, he works approximately 60 hours per week either in the field showing and previewing property or behind the desk expanding his knowledge for the industry through market research, continuing education courses, or a vast array of online webinars.
When Shawn isn’t helping clients, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Traci, and their two young daughters. He loves finding a day or two every week to play with his girls and escort them around town for local events and attractions, hoping to instill in their lives the same love for life he has had throughout his own.
